While things will look and feel different in our worlds for months to come, we will work as hard as possible to provide a healthy and happy environment and deliver a stellar Pilates workout in our studio. Pilates is one of the best things we can do for our health, a strong body and a strong mind- especially during difficult times. As a wise man named Joe Pilates once wrote, “Physical Fitness is the first requisite of happiness.”

As of July 2, the state of NJ has allowed us to conduct private appointments in the studio. We have made significant upgrades to our Fair Haven studio to ensure the safety of our clients.

Here is what we’ve done:

Plexiglass- We divided our 1200 square foot studio into 3 mini pilates studios surrounded by plexiglass. These mini studios are a pilates oasis and have everything you need for your workout including your very own reformer, mat/ tower, chair, barrels, and magic circle. 

Reduced Volume- We will have a maximum of 4 people in the studio at one time (2 private sessions). We have permission to use the space next door for an additional private session. 

Air Filtration- We have installed Airocide units, a cutting edge product created by NASA which rids the air of virtually 100% of harmful pathogens by eliminating them completely, including the main allergy triggers: mold, viruses, bacteria and VOCs.

Cleaning and Disinfecting – We will be using CDC and EPA approved hospital grade disinfectants on all surfaces including apparatus, plexiglass, door handles, bathrooms, toilets, and sinks. There will be 10-15 minutes between each appointment and at least a 30 min gap between using each pod. We will do a deep cleaning at the end of each day.

Masks/ Face Coverings- Your instructor will stand 6 feet away and wear a mask while teaching. 

Hand sanitizer-  Dispensers have been placed throughout the studio.

Virtual Classes – Thank goodness for technology. We will still be offering virtual classes and private sessions for those who are not comfortable coming back to the studio. / At home sessions in your backyard or patio are available upon request.

In Studio Instructions:

Make an appointment: All sessions are by appointment only. You may schedule by emailing studio@thepilatesproject.net. 

Paperwork: Fill out our COVID-19 waiver if you haven’t done so already.

When you get here: Please wait in your car or outside. We will send you a text message or call you in when we are ready to start your session.

Before entering: We will take a contactless temperature and you will be asked to either wash your hands or use hands sanitizer before entering. 

Wear a Mask when you enter the studio: You may remove your mask when you reach your designated workout area.

Wear socks: Our sock rule as always is in full effect. We recommend grip socks. You can still purchase them at the studio.

Do Pilates: Move, breathe, lengthen, strengthen, and stretch.

Wipe it All Down– please include wiping down everything you touched including handles, bars, and straps. Foot Loops, Arm Handles, and Sticky Pads will all be sanitized. If you would like to purchase your own let us know . 

Don’t hang out – We love socializing but we must do it outside. Please leave within 10 minutes of ending your session. You are welcome to hang out on our chairs outside the studio.

Please note: All scheduling, payments, and cancellations will be contactless and done through emailing studio@thepilatesproject.net . We recommend standing appointments or scheduling for the month


Code of Conduct

If you’re sick, STAY HOME. If you are experiencing or have experienced any of the following symptoms in the last 14 days, we ask that you do not come to the studio:

  • Fever
  • Shortness of breath
  • Coughing
  • Sneezing
  • Loss of Smell/Taste
  • Nausea
  • Vomiting
  • Diarrhea

If you have tested positive for COVID-19, are awaiting test results, or have been knowingly exposed / come into contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, please do not come to the studio for 14 days or until you have tested negative for COVID-19.

Maintain Social Distance / Minimize Contact. We’re all excited to see one another and it seems unnatural not to hug or greet your fellow Pilates fiends and instructors. Until the social distance requirements are lifted, we ask that you respect one another, maintain 6 feet of distance between one another, and refrain from person-to-person contact.

The CDC advises that anyone immune compromised or with pre-existing conditions should minimize social contact. If you fall into this category, and are still concerned about doing Pilates in the studio, we will continue our virtual offerings via Zoom. We encourage you to stay involved and fit so you’re ready to rejoin us when the time is right.

If there is a case of COVID-19 reported in your studio we will notify you immediately.
