The Art of Consistency

No matter which workout you choose- be it Pilates, weight lifting, yoga, spinning or running--if you want results you have to show up and do the work. Because of our busy and stressful lives, it can be challenging to stay on a routine. Here are some tips to commit to your workout and stay the course.

Make a Standing Appointment.

Schedule your workout the same time every week or find a standing slot in one of your favorite classes. Guard this time with your life and try not to make any other appointments during your Pilates time.

As a fitness instructor. the people i see who get stronger, more limber, more toned and feel closer to their goals are the ones that come at the same times every week and seldom miss a workout.

Be realistic.

Scheduling early morning Pilates classes 5 days a week sounds like a great idea until your alarm goes off and your pillow calls out to you. Don’t over commit. Start with one or two Pilates sessions or classes a week. You could always add more in.

Don’t wait for motivation.

If you are feeling exhausted, uninspired, or unmotivated - show up anyway. You will feel more energized when it’s over.

Embrace online workouts.

If you can’t physically be at the studio or are traveling you don’t have to miss your workout! Take a session with us on zoom or FaceTime from anywhere in the world.
